Boodabim (English)

Author : Alankrita Amaya

Boodabim floats in the sky, he swims in the ocean and he simply glows in stripes! Who is he? A cloud? A fish? A tiger? Boodabim can be anything he wants to be! Minimal text and rollicking illustrations make this a most endearing book for little ones.

Incredibly happy!

Boodabim is someone you want to be friends with - that’s what the illustrations do instantly. The color schemes are incredibly happy and the front cover, with its buttercup yellow figure against a bright leaf green background, guarantees that this book will make it to the billing counter at the book shops. As a picture book, Boodabim is just charming. The suspense at the beginning - the Boodabim teaser, is an obvious, but extremely effective introduction to reel the reader into the quest of discovering Boodabim’s identity. The lines are clean and simple and the tiny detailing such as the stars around the astronaut or the little bumble bees in the barn make the reading experience all the more enjoyable as you take in Boodabim’s new avatar and flip back a page, just to decide what suits him better.
