Deeya Nayar is an editor with Tulika and an uncompromising one at that. She is the author of All About Nothing, and occasionally translates into Hindi. She has also written Tulika’s hot-selling craft and design diaries. She is proud of the way Tulika has raised the bar for ‘mainstream’ children’s books in India, and finds it fascinating to work with so many languages.

Devashish Makhija has been an Assistant Director of some highly acclaimed and popular Hindi films — Black Friday, Bunty aur Babli and Jaane tu ya jaane na. He recently published his first two books with Tulika — When Ali became Bajrangbali and Why Paploo was perplexed, both of which he translated into Hindi. By night, he is a filmmaker, scriptwriter, graphic artist, poet and storyteller.  By day though, he disappears. He can be found at www.nakedindianfakir.com .

Dr Arna Seal is a practicing sociologist and works as a consultant in the social development sector, specialising in children and youth-related issues. Also, she teaches Human Resource Management at ICFAI Business School, Kolkata, while pursuing her penchant for working with children at Bondhu, a resource center and publishing unit, which she runs with her friend Manjir. Arna writes for children in Bengali and English and is a lyricist of contemporary Bengali songs.

Indrani Krishnaier loves children. She uses her fascination for language, passion for poetry, involvement in theatre and vivid imagination to infuse life and colour into children's stories. She loves reading for children as much as she enjoys writing for them. When Ali became Bajrangbali, The Kite Tree are a couple of the numerous Tulika books she translated into Bengali.
